The recent strengthening of the register’s powers as a result of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA) means it is now acting as a more proactive regulator with powers to question and remove false and misleading information from its registers. It needs to fund this increased activity.
The key fee increases for companies from 1 February 2026 include:
- incorporation digital filing will go up to £100 (previously £50);
- confirmation statement digital filing will cost £50 (previously £34);
- filing paper confirmation statements will cost £110 (previously £34);
- registering as an authorised corporate service provider (ACSP) will cost £63 (previously £55); and
- same day change of name will cost £85 (previously £83).
Some fees are being cut, including:
- voluntary strike off submitted digitally will cost £13 (previously £33);
- registration of a charge will cost £14 (previously £15); and
- administrative restoration will cost £341 (previously £468).
