Beginning on 18 November, Companies House will be phasing in a new system of ID verification, which will affect all directors, all shareholders registered as PSCs and Trustees of charities that are registered as companies at Companies House. This is a major exercise, but it will be the new norm for any new appointments being registered at Companies House.
Without this ID verification, you will be unable to access various important Companies House services, such as filing.
All the directors will have to have been registered before your next Confirmation Statement can be lodged.
So, you need to check the date by which you need to have completed your Companies House ID Verification, which will be evidenced by the issue of a reference which you must quote when submitting any confirmation statement after 18 November.
This date is the date of the next Confirmation Statement due after 18 November. Typically, this is the anniversary of the incorporation of your company. This means that compulsory ID Verification will be phased over a period of a year. However. You can do it anytime, so our advice is to get it done sooner rather than later.

If you do not yet have a gov. UK One login, you will also need to set this up, but the system gives you this option when you start your ID verification process.
