Minimum Wage Changes

There are 2 important changes to the National Minimum Wage from 1 April.:
1. The main rate is going up to £11.44 equivalent to £20,820 pa for a 35 hour week.
2. The age at which this applies is going down from 23 to 21 so don’t get caught out.

Alongside minimum wage increases, statutory sick pay, statutory maternity, adoption, paternity, and shared parental and parental bereavement pay are all going up.
The increase in the rate should be clear to everyone but don’t forget to apply it to 21-year-olds from 1 April. Many will miss this additional change,
